ISLAMABAD (PEN): To address the country’s energy scarcity, the Gwadar 300 megawatt coal-fired power plant will be completed by October 2023. The power plant of an independent power producer is one of the important energy projects within the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, according to an official source who shared unique project updates. The project aimed to improve local power supply dependability, which would help to gradually overcome difficulties with existing economic development and urban construction in the Gwadar region, which is hampered by a power shortage.
