The CPEC is about to enter its second phase, with a specific emphasis on industrial cooperation, especially in the Special Economic Zones, the Senate was informed. In response to a question, the Minister for Investment, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, stated that a number of Chinese and local businesses have expressed interest in making investments in SEZs all over Pakistan. According to him, the majority of the infrastructure and power-related early harvest projects under the first phase of CPEC have been finished.
