ISLAMABAD : Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik, the head of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), met with Nong Rong, the Chinese ambassador, and expressed gratitude for Beijing’s ongoing support of the effort to recover from the disastrous floods. Additionally, they talked about the numerous facets of reciprocal cooperation and a pro-active strategy for disaster management in Pakistan. Malik expressed his gratitude for China’s resounding assistance in the rescue and relief efforts. The envoy emphasised the strong cooperation at the forefront of managing climate-related disasters and emphasised the need to continue expanding the current working relationships with Pakistan.The ambassador underscored the strong collaboration at the front of climate-induced disaster management and stressed further expansion of the existing working relations with Pakistan.
