ISLAMABAD :An MoU has been signed by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-Pakistan to safeguard the environment in projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The agreement aims to enhance research, technical support and policy advocacy in order to ensure that ecological, biodiversity and environmental considerations are taken into account in CPEC development projects. By collaborating, SDPI and WWF-Pakistan also seek to address gaps in environmental protection policies and promote ecological and biodiversity conservation during the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects. Additionally, they hope to advance the transition towards greener infrastructure development in CPEC projects.
