ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, chaired a meeting with 35 representatives from various Chinese companies in Pakistan, discussing preparations for CPEC Phase-2. Emphasizing economic cooperation and boosting Pakistan’s exports to China, he lauded Chinese companies’ role and pledged full support, stressing the security of Chinese citizens and projects. He directed facilitating necessary clearances for Chinese firms, advocating for joint ventures with Pakistani counterparts to bolster economic ties. Ahsan Iqbal reiterated CPEC’s significance for Pakistan’s economy, committing to its completion and ensuring Chinese investment security, with relevant government agencies present.
