ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal announced that work on five corridors will begin in the upgraded China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Speaking on a TV program, he described the first corridor as a “corridor of growth” for economic development, and the second as a “corridor of livelihood” to alleviate poverty. The third corridor, termed the “corridor of innovation,” will focus on artificial intelligence, while the fourth will address the “green economy.” The fifth corridor, “regional development,” aims to extend CPEC benefits to other regional countries.
