ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The price of 24 karat gold per tola saw a notable decrease of Rs 200 in the local market, trading at Rs 214,500 compared to Rs 241,700 on the previous trading day. According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also declined by Rs 172, settling at Rs 207,047 from Rs 207,219 previously. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold decreased to Rs 189,793 from Rs 189,950.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained unchanged, with one tola priced at Rs 2,850 and ten grams at Rs 2,443.41.
The international market also witnessed a slight decline in gold prices, dropping by $2 to $2,324 from $2,326, as reported by the Association.
It’s worth noting that in April, gold prices in the local market had reached an all-time high of Rs 252,200 per tola. The fluctuations in gold prices are heavily influenced by global market trends, reflecting shifts in international demand and supply dynamics for this precious metal.
