ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s tallest man, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 30 in Vehari after a prolonged illness. His funeral prayer was attended by a large number of people, including influential social and political figures.
At the age of 15, he became known as Pakistan’s tallest man. Unfortunately, he had been suffering from a knee-related illness since the age of 20, which went untreated, and neither did the government provide adequate support, as reported by Geo News. Over time, his condition worsened.
Last year, a slip while descending stairs exacerbated his pain, ultimately leading to his passing today after battling the disease.
In a December 2018 interview with APP, Rasheed mentioned receiving taekwondo training to maintain his fitness and self-defense skills. He claimed a height of eight feet and three inches, stating he was the world’s second tallest man.
Rasheed had completed his education up to matriculation but expressed a desire to continue studying, hindered by financial and logistical challenges. He had appealed to the government for financial assistance to improve his quality of life.
