ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Following a challenging T20 World Cup 2024 campaign where Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan struggled to secure wickets, he has made a remarkable comeback in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 season. Shadab Khan’s recent performances have seen him regain form, notably achieving a hat-trick in his debut LPL match. He became only the second bowler in LPL history, after Wanindu Hasaranga, to accomplish this feat.
Representing the Colombo Strikers, Shadab Khan not only excelled with the ball but also contributed with the bat, scoring 20 runs off 17 deliveries as his team posted a total of 198 runs. In the match against the Falcons, his impressive bowling figures of 4 for 22 played a crucial role in securing a convincing victory for the Strikers, with the Falcons losing by 51 runs. For his outstanding performance, Shadab Khan was rightfully awarded the player of the match accolade.
This resurgence marks a significant turnaround for Shadab Khan, showcasing his capabilities and reaffirming his talent in the cricketing arena, particularly in the context of the LPL 2024 season.
