ISLAMABAD (PEN) : A student reportedly committed suicide in Lahore’s Hadyara after receiving poor grades in the matric exams.
Arslan, a 15-year-old resident of the village Padana, jumped from a water storage tank and suffered multiple head and neck injuries, which proved fatal.
According to police, Arslan was disappointed with his marks after the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore announced the matric results.
The police and forensic team have gathered evidence and begun investigations.
On Tuesday, BISE Lahore announced the results of the matriculation examination. The success rate stood at 69 percent, with 174,500 students passing the exam.
