ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Senator Faisal Vawda has sounded a dire warning for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), suggesting that the party is on a path towards political turmoil, similar to the trajectory of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P),
Vawda expressed his deep concerns about the future of PTI. He drew a stark comparison, stating, “No anarchist party can operate in Pakistan. Just as MQM evolved into MQM-P, PTI will also need to transform into PTI-P.”
Vawda did not hold back in his criticism of PTI’s current political strategy. He pointed out that the party’s recent actions and slogans, emboldened by favorable court decisions, have pushed it beyond constitutional boundaries. “After the court order, PTI has gone 10 times ahead, raising slogans against institutions. Now they should be ready for the bulldozer,” he remarked, hinting at imminent political backlash.
The senator predicted a grim outlook for PTI’s founder, implying that internal dynamics and government maneuvers will likely keep him behind bars. Vawda highlighted the strategic acumen of the Pakistan Democratic Movement II (PDM-2), suggesting they possess the capability to topple the government if necessary.
Moreover, Vawda accused the current government of creating confusion and projecting an image of conflict with PTI and various institutions. He foresaw an increasingly heated political climate, warning that the government might not comply with Supreme Court decisions, thereby exacerbating the crisis.
Vawda’s candid comments reflect a deep-seated anxiety about PTI’s future. His remarks serve as a wake-up call for the party, emphasizing the need for introspection and strategic recalibration to navigate the mounting challenges and uncertainties that lie ahead.
