ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal chaired a meeting to review the implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, especially decisions from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent China visit. He emphasized the agreement between China and Pakistan on CPEC 2.0 and the need for strategic implementation. Iqbal highlighted past progress, slowed after 2018, and stressed Pakistan’s strategic position for CPEC’s importance. He urged expediting the ML1 project and preparing for the Joint Financing Committee meeting. Additionally, he called for a collaborative effort to ensure timely completion of CPEC projects and a master plan for regional road construction to enhance connectivity and economic growth.
