ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Karachi is bracing for a hot and humid day as the Met Office forecasts the return of the sea breeze. Currently, the sea breeze is absent, leaving the “feels like” temperature at a sweltering 43°C due to high humidity levels of 81%.
Today’s temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 38°C. However, there is a chance of light rain this evening or tonight, with the sea breeze anticipated to pick up, possibly reaching speeds of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour.
several areas of Karachi experienced varying levels of rainfall. Scheme-33, Safoora Chowrangi, Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Quaidabad saw substantial rain. Other areas like Shara-e-Faisal, Airport, Malir, Baldia Town, Shershah, Hub River Road, Old City, SITE Area, Metroville, Manghopir, and neighboring regions also received some rain, with light drizzle in North Karachi, Surjani Town, and Clifton.
Rainwater accumulated in spots like Shara-e-Faisal, Hassan Square, Malir Halt, and Star Gate near the old airport, adding to the city’s challenges.
