ISLAMABAD (PEN) : In a recent briefing with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, it was revealed that over 70 local businesses are eager to partner with Chinese firms relocating their industrial operations to Pakistan. This development follows Sharif’s visit to China last month, where he engaged with investors and sought to strengthen cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
During the meeting, a comprehensive plan was shared for moving various Chinese industries, including textiles and medical equipment, to Pakistan. The aim is to enhance the country’s industrial capabilities and deepen the economic bonds between the two nations.
Additionally, a new initiative was introduced to send 1,000 Pakistani students to China for advanced agricultural training, with the first group set to begin their studies at the start of the new academic year.
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the enduring and robust partnership between Pakistan and China, noting that these efforts will significantly benefit Pakistan’s economy by creating new job opportunities and boosting exports. This collaboration underscores China’s commitment to investing in Pakistan and supporting its economic growth.
