ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Beijing Declaration, which marks an agreement among Palestinian groups to form an interim unity government. He commended China for this diplomatic success and highlighted the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people. Sharif expressed hope that the agreement could lead to lasting peace, urging global solidarity with Palestinians and calling on Israel to cease its aggressive actions that have killed approximately 40,000 Palestinians in the past ten months. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for a two-state solution, advocating for an independent Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Al Quds as its capital, and emphasized the need for Palestinian unity in their quest for peace and self-determination.
