ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Business and Investment Conference, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the “Shanghai Spirit” of mutual trust, equality, and shared development. He highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location, abundant resources, and skilled workforce, positioning the country as a key hub for foreign investment. Gilani emphasized the importance of regional cooperation through initiatives like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Special Economic Zones (SEZs), which provide access to international markets and foster industrial growth. He urged SCO nations to collaborate on sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, and digital infrastructure, and called for enhancing business partnerships, innovation, and entrepreneurship to drive sustainable economic growth.
