ISLAMABAD (PEN) : On Friday, the Sindh High Court (SHC) postponed the hearing on the application challenging Ishaq Dar’s appointment as Deputy Prime Minister.
During the proceedings, the petitioner’s lawyer, Advocate Tariq Mansoor, informed the court that he had named Ishaq Dar as a respondent and requested that the court issue a notice for Dar to provide a response.
The court inquired about the decision regarding Pervez Elahi’s appointment as Deputy Prime Minister during the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government. In response, Advocate Mansoor explained that he had contacted the cabinet division about the Gazette notification and submitted a request to the Lahore High Court (LHC) for a copy of the verdict.
The court decided not to issue any notices until the necessary documents were presented, adjourning the hearing for two weeks.
