ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz referred to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a symbol of development, prosperity, and hope.
She recently congratulated Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren during a ceremony marking the 75th National Day of the People’s Republic of China. On behalf of the people of Punjab, she extended heartfelt wishes to the Chinese community on this special occasion.
Maryam emphasized the strong friendship and cooperation between the Chinese and Pakistani people, noting that CPEC has transformed Pakistan’s economic landscape, earning praise from citizens.
She acknowledged China’s steadfast contributions to humanity, peace, and cooperation, stating, “We respect the Chinese nation, and China’s success serves as a role model for us.” Maryam highlighted China’s consistent support for Pakistan, emphasizing their collaborative efforts toward a peaceful and prosperous future. She noted that China’s exemplary role in addressing global crises further strengthens their bond.
The ties between Pakistan and China go beyond strategic interests; they reflect deep emotional connections, with CPEC standing as evidence of their shared future.
The Chinese Consul General recognized Punjab CM’s people-centric initiatives, including the Nawaz Sharif IT City, Air Ambulance Service, Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar program, and Cancer Hospital. He remarked that the solar panel program would significantly benefit the public, emphasizing its human-centered approach.
