ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan has identified 13 priority sectors, including energy, IT, and textiles, to attract Chinese investment, according to Ambassador Khalil Hashmi during the China (Shaanxi)-Pakistan Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair. Pakistan’s pavilion, featured at the Silk Road International Exposition, showcased business opportunities, especially in the energy sector. Trade between Pakistan and China’s Shaanxi Province nearly doubled from January to August 2024. Ambassador Hashmi praised China’s technological expertise and highlighted the achievements of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has generated 8,000 megawatts of electricity and $26 billion in investments.
