ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has made an official request to hold a rally in Rawalpindi on September 28. The application was submitted by PTI District President Chaudhry Ameer Afzal and District General Secretary, along with a team of lawyers, at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. They emphasized that PTI, being the largest political party in the country, views the right to hold peaceful rallies as both a constitutional and legal entitlement for all political parties.
In their application, PTI assured that they would comply with all regulations set forth by the Deputy Commissioner’s office. They have proposed Liaquat Bagh and Bhata Chowk as potential venues for the rally.
The Deputy Commissioner’s office has acknowledged receipt of PTI’s request and has decided to seek guidance from the Home Department on the matter.
