ISLAMABAD (PEN) : China is set to distribute one-time financial assistance to those in need ahead of a national holiday next week, according to a government announcement.
While the exact amount of the handouts hasn’t been disclosed, the statement released late Wednesday emphasized that the plan aims to provide cash support to extremely poor individuals, orphans, and others facing hardships.
These allowances will be disbursed before October 1, when the country begins a week-long public holiday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The government urged local civil affairs and finance departments to prioritize this initiative and ensure timely distribution, highlighting it as a demonstration of the Chinese Communist Party’s and the government’s care for vulnerable populations.
Additionally, on the same day, China’s cabinet released guidelines aimed at promoting quality employment and addressing concerns over pay cuts and rising youth unemployment. This week, the country also introduced several robust measures to bolster its economy.
