ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, praised the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China during a ceremony marking China’s National Day. He highlighted China’s role in Pakistan’s development through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasizing China’s investment when other nations hesitated. Iqbal lauded China’s success in lifting 800 million people out of poverty and preserving its cultural identity while modernizing. He stressed that Pakistan should follow China’s development model, but warned against political instability and policy reversals that risk undermining investor confidence.
