ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, expressed optimism about progress on CPEC Phase-II and the ML-1 project during the upcoming visit of the Chinese President. He also mentioned a Saudi delegation’s visit, hoping for MoUs to boost Pakistan’s investment prospects. He highlighted economic challenges like pension and debt servicing but noted a 44% rise in remittances. Ahsan Iqbal stressed civil-military unity under the SIFC, condemned anti-Army campaigns, and urged opposition parties to be constructive. He also called for peaceful relations with neighbors, advocating trade with India despite its occupation of Kashmir.
