ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with China and promoting economic activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the province and Pakistan’s development. Speaking at a reception hosted by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he highlighted the potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s seven trade routes with Central Asia and encouraged Tajikistan to connect with Gwadar for improved access to global markets. Kundi addressed security concerns in the region, urging unity to overcome challenges, and invited the business community, including the Rawalpindi Women’s Chamber, to collaborate closely with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He appreciated the Ministry of Commerce’s efforts to establish an expo center in Peshawar to enhance the province’s image and assured support for China’s concerns. Business leaders praised the Pakistan People’s Party for its developmental role and requested Kundi to facilitate a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari.
