ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s SUPARCO has announced a historic collaboration with China for the 2028 Chang’e-8 lunar mission, marking Pakistan’s debut in lunar exploration. SUPARCO will contribute a 35-kilogram rover to explore the Moon’s south pole, enhancing surface analysis and research. This follows the successful launch of Pakistan’s iCube Qamar aboard China’s Chang’e-6 mission in May 2024, which entered lunar orbit for scientific research. CubeSats like iCube Qamar play a pivotal role in advancing technology, education, and research in space exploration.
