ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Consul General of China in Karachi, Yang Yundong, emphasized the enduring and strategic nature of Pakistan-China relations, bolstered under the guidance of President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders. Speaking at a media briefing marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, he highlighted the continuous strengthening of practical cooperation, particularly through CPEC, including upgrades to the Karachi-Hyderabad section, Gwadar Port infrastructure, and major projects in railways, highways, and ports. Yang reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s anti-terrorism efforts and called for enhanced security measures for Chinese personnel and projects. He also lauded China’s remarkable economic growth, achieving an average annual rate of 8.9% over 45 years, expanding its economy by 47 times.
