ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Water supply to Islamabad and Rawalpindi will be significantly affected for 10 days as Khanpur Dam undergoes thorough cleaning from February 10 to 19, according to an official notification.
Islamabad will receive 5 million gallons less water per day, while Rawalpindi will face a shortfall of 13 million gallons daily. Several areas, including Dhok Hassu, Pirudhai, and Fauji Colony, as well as sectors D-12, G-10, G-11, F-10, F-11, and G-9 in Islamabad, will experience water shortages during this period.
Authorities have urged residents to use water judiciously as supply remains limited until maintenance work at the dam is completed.
