ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Around 100 Pakistanis have been deported from six different countries, including Saudi Arabia, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), due to various legal and immigration issues.
Sources report that Saudi Arabia sent back several individuals for different violations. This included five blacklisted people, 13 beggars, and five individuals who overstayed their permits. In addition, 16 people were deported for breaching their work contracts, and 23 workers who had absconded from their jobs were also expelled. Another 13 Pakistanis were sent back for working without a sponsor, which is against local labour laws.
In the UAE, one Pakistani national was deported for lacking the proper documentation, while nine others were released from jail and sent home. Saudi Arabia also deported three blacklisted Pakistanis, and Oman, Somaliland, and the UAE each sent one back.
Meanwhile, Canada deported a Pakistani for overstaying their visa, and Iraq sent seven individuals back for illegal residency.
These deportations highlight the challenges many individuals face when dealing with immigration and legal violations abroad, often affecting the lives of families and communities back home.
