ISLAMABAD (PEN) : During his two-day visit to Pakistan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a special gesture by gifting Turkish-made electric cars to both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the car and even took it for a test drive, accompanied by President Erdogan, enjoying the experience together. President Zardari was also honored with a similar electric vehicle, strengthening the ties between the two leaders.
Earlier in the visit, Pakistan and Turkey took a significant step in deepening their bilateral relations. On Thursday, several key documents were exchanged, including Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), protocols, and cooperation agreements in various sectors. These agreements aim to enhance collaboration between the two countries across a range of fields.
Prime Minister Sharif and President Erdogan were present as these documents were signed, underscoring the importance of their growing partnership. The two leaders also signed a joint declaration at the 7th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), marking another milestone in the deepening of the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Turkey.
