ISLAMABAD (PEN) : On Friday, President Asif Ali Zardari swore in Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as the acting Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The oath-taking ceremony, held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Quran.
In line with the official notification, President Zardari appointed Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar as acting chief justice, effective from the day he took the oath, until a permanent chief justice is appointed. This marks a significant moment for the IHC, with Sarfraz Dogar stepping into a vital role for the time being
