ISLAMABAD (PEN) : A convoy carrying essential relief goods in Kurram district was ambushed by unidentified armed men who opened fire and looted the trucks. The convoy, consisting of 100 trucks, was targeted in the Uchet area, where the attackers fired from multiple positions, causing panic among those on board.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen swiftly began robbing the vehicles, but security forces responded promptly, deploying a gunship helicopter to return fire and protect the convoy.
Due to the escalating violence in Lower Kurram, the convoy was forced to stop at Tal, where it remains under threat as the gunmen continue to fire on the vehicles. The situation has left the relief operation in a tense and uncertain state, putting the safety of those delivering much-needed aid at great risk.
