ISLAMABAD (PEN) : In a startling revelation, it was discovered that individuals holding only an intermediate (high school) certificate were appointed as invigilators for the prestigious Central Superior Services (CSS) and Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) exams, citing the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
During a meeting of the PAC, chaired by Junaid Akbar, the committee reviewed the FPSC’s audit and uncovered a number of irregularities. One of the most shocking findings was the appointment of invigilators who did not meet the necessary qualifications for such an important role.
The audit also revealed a significant financial discrepancy, with Rs. 26 million being paid in cash for the exams, which led to concerns and objections during the audit.
Chairman Junaid Akbar expressed serious concern over these issues and gave clear instructions to halt any future cash payments. He also directed the Secretary of Establishment and the Secretary of FPSC to ensure that all appointments are made according to the proper rules and regulations, emphasizing the importance of accountability and transparency in the process.
