ISLAMABAD (PEN) : A mixed martial arts event in Romania has sparked outrage after featuring an unusual intergender match-up that has quickly divided opinion across social media. The event, hosted by Real Xtreme Fighting (RXF), saw two male fighters face off against a team of three OnlyFans models in a full-contact battle that has drawn sharp criticism.
The match, which took place in a packed arena, pitted male competitors Costica Prisecaru and Sebastian Rechinu against social media personalities Alicia Bonita, Denisa Costea, and Maria Adriana. The women wore protective headgear, while the men fought without any such equipment, a factor that has raised concerns about the fairness and safety of the contest.
The fight began with an eye-catching entrance by the female fighters, who performed a choreographed dance routine before the match. However, once the combat started, it quickly turned intense, with both sides exchanging aggressive strikes and kicks. Ultimately, Prisecaru and Rechinu claimed victory, but the match continued to generate controversy. Following the bout, Maria Adriana, one of the female fighters, attempted to confront Rechinu, requiring security to step in and restrain her.
The event has been met with a tidal wave of backlash, with many viewers questioning how such a match was sanctioned. Social media has been flooded with angry reactions, with users expressing shock and disbelief. One comment read, “Why is this allowed?” while another critic called the event “disgusting” and questioned how it was approved in the first place.
Among the critics was self-proclaimed influencer Andrew Tate, who sarcastically commented, “Welcome to Romania!” alongside a smiley face emoji, adding to the growing controversy. Some users have raised concerns about the fairness of the fight, with one remarking, “Why not one normal guy against three professional women fighters? Those chicks probably just got their nails done.”
This event is not the first time RXF has sparked controversy with intergender matchups. Last year, the promotion organized a similar fight featuring two women against one man, which also garnered mixed reactions, but did have some defenders who argued that it was an entertaining spectacle. However, the overwhelming criticism suggests RXF’s approach may continue to face public scrutiny, especially as calls for more responsible practices in combat sports grow.
While some fans have defended the event as a form of entertainment, others have questioned whether such matches should be allowed to continue, suggesting that RXF may need to rethink its approach to combat sports in the future.
