ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi has issued 154 visas to a group of Indian pilgrims, allowing them to visit the revered Shree Katas Raj Temples in Chakwal district, Pakistan. Their pilgrimage is scheduled to take place from February 24 to March 2, 2025.
In a heartfelt message to the pilgrims, Charge d’Affaires Saad Ahmad Warraich wished them a spiritually enriching and fulfilling journey. He emphasized that the government of Pakistan remains committed to facilitating such visits, in line with its ongoing efforts to foster interfaith harmony and promote mutual understanding between the two nations.
This initiative aligns with the Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, established in 1974, under which thousands of Indian pilgrims make annual trips to Pakistan to partake in various religious festivals. This enduring tradition helps to strengthen the bonds of friendship and understanding between the two countries through shared religious experiences.
