Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, a senior leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), has passed away following a long battle with kidney disease. His son, Munir Ahmed, confirmed the news on Wednesday.
The late leader had been struggling with health issues for some time, with his family revealing that he had been suffering from kidney disease for a prolonged period.
While details regarding the funeral arrangements have yet to be shared, Munir Ahmed stated that further announcements would be made soon.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of JUI-F, expressed his profound sadness at the loss of the party stalwart. He described Hafiz Hussain Ahmed as a respected and intellectual figure, stating, “A chapter of beautiful memories has ended with his passing.”
Maulana Rehman also praised Ahmed’s contributions as an ideological and wise parliamentarian, acknowledging his influence on the party and his leadership in the political landscape.
