ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, performed Umrah during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The prime minister’s visit, which began on Friday, saw him engage in important spiritual acts, praying for Pakistan’s progress and the well-being of its people, as well as for the betterment of the entire Muslim Ummah.
Umrah at the Holy Ka’aba
During his visit to Makkah, the prime minister performed Umrah and offered Nawafil prayers at the Holy Ka’aba, one of Islam’s most sacred sites. These acts of devotion are integral to the spiritual significance of Umrah, and Prime Minister Sharif expressed his hopes for his prayers to bring blessings to Pakistan and its citizens.
Respecting Holy Sites in Madina
Prior to his visit to Makkah, PM Shehbaz Sharif made a stop in Madina Munawara, where he paid his respects at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him). He also offered Nawafil prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi, one of Islam’s holiest mosques. This part of the visit was seen as an expression of his deep respect for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his leadership in guiding the Muslim Ummah.
Focus on Pakistan’s Progress and Muslim Unity
During his prayers, the prime minister specifically focused on seeking divine blessings for the ongoing prosperity of Pakistan and its people. He also prayed for the unity and betterment of the wider Muslim community, emphasizing the importance of collective strength and solidarity.
