ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s young opening batsman, Saim Ayub, has returned to Lahore after completing his rehabilitation. He is now set to undergo a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy to determine his eligibility for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
Recovery and Fitness Test
Ayub, who had been sidelined since January due to an ankle fracture sustained during a Test match, has been receiving treatment in London. According to sources from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), his medical reports are described as “encouraging,” raising hopes that the 22-year-old is on the path to full recovery.
The assessment at the National Cricket Academy will play a crucial role in deciding whether Ayub will be fit to join his PSL team for the 10th edition of the tournament.
Eid Celebrations and Resuming Training
Before diving back into his cricketing duties, Ayub is expected to head to Karachi to celebrate Eid with his family. After the festive break, he will resume his training sessions, continuing his preparations for a potential return to the PSL.
Ayub’s comeback is highly anticipated, and fans will be eager to see if the promising left-handed batter will be ready to contribute to his team in the highly anticipated PSL 10, which kicks off on April 11.
As Ayub’s recovery progresses, the cricket community awaits confirmation on whether he will be cleared for competitive action in the upcoming season of Pakistan’s premier T20 league.
