ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The latest ICC T20I rankings, released on Wednesday, revealed that none of Pakistan’s bowlers have made it into the top 10. The rankings also saw Australian batter Travis Head continuing his dominance at the top of the T20I batting charts.
Top 10 Absence for Pakistan’s Bowlers
In the latest rankings, Pakistan’s bowlers, despite their strong performances, have failed to secure a spot among the top 10. The absence of Pakistani bowlers from the prestigious top 10 positions highlights the stiff competition in T20I cricket.
Travis Head Retains Top Spot in Batting Rankings
Travis Head remains unchallenged at the number one spot for T20I batters, further cementing his reputation as one of the most consistent and impactful players in the format. Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to hold on to his place in the top 10, ranking 8th. His opening partner, Mohammad Rizwan, is ranked 9th, ensuring that Pakistan has a presence in the top-tier batting ranks.
Rising Stars in the Rankings
The rankings also saw New Zealand’s Finn Allen rise to the 16th position, buoyed by his strong performances in the recent T20I series against Pakistan. His impressive displays have earned him a significant upward movement in the rankings.
Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and the Bowling Charts
On the bowling front, Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf has been placed in the 15th position. Despite his consistent performances, Rauf has not managed to break into the top 10. The rankings saw West Indies’ Akeal Hosein claim the top spot among bowlers, while New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy, who impressed during the T20I series against Pakistan, climbed to the 7th spot.
