ISLAMABAD (PEN) : At least five people lost their lives, and 30 others were injured when a bus overturned near Chakwal in the early hours of Friday. The tragic incident occurred on the Motorway M2 in the Salt Range area, where the bus, traveling from Rawalpindi to Chishtian, lost control and turned over.
Details of the Accident
According to initial reports, the bus was carrying passengers when the driver reportedly lost control, causing the vehicle to flip. Rescue teams and police quickly arrived at the scene, where they launched efforts to evacuate the victims.
The injured were transferred to the Trauma Centre in Kallar Kahar, where medical teams have been working to stabilize them. However, sources from the rescue teams have warned that the death toll could rise, as some of the injured are in critical condition.
