ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Model-turned-actor Sunita Marshall has addressed ongoing comparisons between herself and Pakistani film icon Mahira Khan, acknowledging that such remarks are frequent and often stem from their similar features.
“We Look Like Long-Lost Sisters,” Says Marshall
In a recent television appearance alongside fellow actor Ushna Shah, Marshall shared her perspective on the comparisons. The conversation took place during a talk show aired on a private entertainment channel.
When Shah remarked, “I have never seen this resemblance before – or maybe I have never noticed that – but [you look like Mahira],” Marshall responded with agreement:
“Yes, I get that a lot… [we resemble] especially in pictures.”
Offering a possible explanation, she added, “Maybe because we have a similar facial cut and big lips.”
Marshall went on to note, “Whenever Mahira and I meet, it’s like we’re some long-lost sisters.”
Shah concluded the conversation with a compliment: “You are both beautiful women.”
Recent and Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Sunita Marshall recently reprised her role as Asma, the second eldest daughter-in-law in the drama sequel “Baby Baji Ki Bahuwain.” The series continues from the popular show “Baby Baji”, which had a strong following.
Meanwhile, Mahira Khan is gearing up for the release of her next feature film “Love Guru,” where she stars opposite Humayun Saeed. Directed by Nadeem Baig, the romantic drama is slated for release on Eid al-Adha.
The friendly comparison between the two stars has been a topic of social media buzz, with fans often pointing out their striking resemblance. However, Marshall’s graceful and humorous acknowledgment has only added to the warmth between the celebrated performers.
