ISLAMABAD (PEN) : President Asif Ali Zardari has commended the decisions made by Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) following India’s provocative actions in the aftermath of the recent Pahalgam incident in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
NSC Measures Reflect National Sentiment
During a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who briefed the President on the situation, Zardari emphasized that the decisions taken by the NSC were in line with the sentiments of the Pakistani people. He reiterated that the country stood united behind the committee’s stance and actions.
“The National Security Committee’s actions truly reflect the aspirations of our nation. The entire country is solidly behind these decisions,” President Zardari remarked.
Strong Condemnation of India’s Actions
Zardari also strongly condemned India’s unfounded allegations and reckless behavior, asserting that India’s actions had no logical justification. The President’s comments come in the wake of escalating tensions between the two countries, sparked by the violent incident in Pahalgam.
Minister Naqvi Highlights Pakistan’s Strength
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who was present at the briefing, further emphasized that Pakistan’s defense capabilities remained robust and invincible. He reassured the public that Pakistan was fully prepared to safeguard its sovereignty and would not tolerate any hostile actions from its neighbors.
