First Uzbekistan–Slovenia Summit in Two Decades
The summit, the first of its kind in 20 years, signifies a new chapter in bilateral ties. President Mirziyoyev engaged in comprehensive discussions with Slovenian leaders, including President Nataša Pirc Musar, Prime Minister Robert Golob, and National Assembly President Urška Klakočar Zupančič. The talks encompassed a wide array of topics, such as politics, economy, investment, industrial cooperation, environmental protection, culture, tourism, and education.
Joint Statement and Agreements Signed
The visit culminated in the adoption of a Joint Statement and the signing of several intergovernmental and interagency agreements. These documents formalize the commitments of both countries to prioritize and enhance cooperation in key areas.
Uzbekistan–Slovenia Business Forum
A notable highlight of the visit was the Uzbekistan–Slovenia Business Forum, which saw participation from both heads of state and representatives from approximately 100 leading companies from both countries. The forum provided a platform to explore and promote business opportunities and partnerships.
Departure and Diplomatic Send-Off
At Ljubljana International Airport, President Mirziyoyev was seen off by Slovenian Minister of the Interior Boštjan Poklukar and other senior officials, marking the conclusion of a successful diplomatic mission.
