ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem and emerging talent Yasir Sultan have secured their spots in the javelin throw final at the ongoing *Asian Athletics Championships 2025* in Gumi, South Korea.
Arshad Leads with Dominant Opening Throw
Arshad Nadeem, making his first major appearance since his historic gold medal win at the *Paris 2024 Olympics, impressed with an **86.34-metre* throw in his opening attempt in Group A. His mark comfortably qualified him for the final round.
Yasir Sultan, competing in Group B, delivered a solid performance with a *76.7-metre* throw, ensuring that both Pakistani athletes will feature in the javelin final, scheduled to take place tomorrow.
Star Power and Rising Talent in Pakistan’s Contingent
Arshad, Pakistan’s first-ever Olympic gold medallist in an individual sport, is aiming to add another title to his already illustrious career. He clinched Olympic gold with a *record-breaking 92.97 metres* throw in Paris and has since collected multiple medals across top-tier international competitions including the *World Championships, Commonwealth Games, and **Asian Games*.
