ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized the central role of peace in driving economic development, stating that Pakistan remains committed to fostering regional stability and strengthening global economic ties.

Addressing U.S. policymakers, diplomats, and members of the business community in Washington, Ambassador Sheikh underscored that peace is Pakistan’s top national priority. He highlighted the recent Pakistan-India ceasefire as a key development, attributing its success in part to the diplomatic support of the United States.
“The US leadership played a key role in the Pakistan-India ceasefire,” Sheikh noted during his remarks, acknowledging the importance of international cooperation in maintaining peace in South Asia.
Economic Opportunities for U.S. Investors
Ambassador Sheikh extended a strong invitation to American investors, encouraging them to explore business opportunities in Pakistan. He identified agriculture, information technology, and mineral resources as sectors with high potential for growth and profitability.
“Providing a business-friendly environment and necessary facilities is a top priority of the government,” he stated, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to supporting foreign investment through policy reforms and investor facilitation.

The ambassador reiterated that promoting economic relations between Pakistan and the United States is a core focus of his diplomatic mission. “As ambassador, the promotion of economic relations is his foremost mission,” he declared, urging closer commercial collaboration as a pathway to mutual growth.
