ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Renowned American supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid have publicly introduced their newly discovered half-sister, 23-year-old Aydan Nix. The revelation comes as a surprise addition to the Hadid family, expanding the well-known siblings’ family circle.
Aydan’s Connection to the Hadid Family
Aydan is the daughter of real estate developer Mohamed Hadid and Terri Hatfield Dull, following a brief relationship after Mohamed’s divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2001. Gigi and Bella explained in a statement to Daily Mail, “Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy.”
Raised in Florida, Aydan grew up with a man she considered her father until his passing when she was 19. The family connected for the first time in late 2023 after Aydan took a genetic test, which revealed her biological link to the Hadids while she was studying abroad in Paris.
Embracing a New Family Member
The sisters expressed warmth and acceptance toward Aydan, saying, “We’ve embraced Aydan with open arms and cherish this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family.” They added that Aydan has spent time with all of them, including their father, and that open, supportive conversations have been ongoing. “With Aydan included — about how to support and protect her,” the sisters noted.

Gigi and Bella emphasized their respect for Aydan’s desire for privacy, asking the public to honour her wish to remain anonymous as she continues her life in New York.
Family Background
Mohamed Hadid has five daughters in total: Gigi, 30, Bella, 28, and brother Anwar, 25, with Yolanda Hadid, as well as two older daughters, Marielle, 44, and Alana, 41, from his first marriage to Mary Butler.
