ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has voiced serious concern over recent provocative remarks made by Indian leaders, highlighting that such statements demonstrate a preference for hostility rather than peaceful dialogue.
In a statement responding to media questions about comments from Indian officials and the Ministry of External Affairs, a Foreign Office spokesperson underlined that Pakistan is unfairly portrayed as the source of regional instability. “The international community is well aware of India’s aggressive behaviour,” the spokesperson said, challenging narratives that shift blame onto Pakistan.
Commitment to Peace and Regional Stability
The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast position on resolving the Kashmir dispute peacefully, in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people. This stance remains central to Pakistan’s foreign policy approach in South Asia.
The spokesperson further criticized India’s alleged support for terrorism within Pakistan’s borders, stating, “such actions cannot be concealed through misleading narratives.” This accusation underscores longstanding tensions and mistrust between the two neighbours.
Call for International Recognition and Support
Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to constructive engagement, the spokesperson stressed that any aggressive moves from India would be met with a firm response. The Foreign Office urged the global community to acknowledge the risks associated with India’s hostile rhetoric and to back efforts aimed at peacefully resolving outstanding disputes in the region.
