ISLAMABAD (PEN) : British singer and former One Direction member Zayn Malik has entered the world of home and lifestyle with the surprise launch of a kitchen-focused collection, Scoville Season, blending his passion for music with a deep love for cooking.
The 31-year-old artist unveiled the collection on Instagram over the weekend, sharing images from his personal kitchen. The line includes a mix of functional and casual items — such as aprons, oven mitts, tea towels, as well as branded T-shirts and sweatshirts.
“I spend a lot of time in my kitchen cooking. Scoville Season is a natural extension of that, and it gives me an opportunity to share part of my culinary experience with my fans,” Malik told People Magazine. “I get to bring some of my favourite everyday items to life for others to use, and I’m excited about it.”
A Spicy Homage to the Kitchen
The collection’s name appears to reference the Scoville scale, which measures the heat levels of chili peppers — a fitting nod to Malik’s well-known preference for bold, spicy flavours.
This new venture builds on Malik’s long-standing culinary interests. He previously spoke about his favorite home-cooked meals during an appearance on the interview show Hot Ones, naming tandoori chicken and spaghetti bolognese as staples in his kitchen.
“I actually cook this thing called tandoori chicken quite a lot,” Malik shared. “If I was to make a meal, probably spaghetti bolognese… and I’m getting pretty good at sneaking vegetables in there for my daughter.”
Culinary Inspiration Rooted in Family
Malik, who shares a daughter, Khai, with model Gigi Hadid, has often discussed how fatherhood has shifted his lifestyle. Cooking, he says, has become a central part of his daily routine.
The Scoville Season drop reflects a broader trend of celebrities diversifying into lifestyle and homeware sectors, offering products that align with their personal brands. Though details on international shipping and full pricing are still pending, fans have already expressed enthusiasm online for the limited collection.
Following the release of his fourth studio album Room Under the Stairs in 2024, Malik’s latest project showcases another side of his creativity — one rooted not in the studio, but in the kitchen.
