ISLAMABAD (PEN) : Security forces have eliminated seven militants linked to the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), also known as Fitna al Hindustan, during two separate intelligence-driven operations in Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Operations Conducted in Kachhi and Kalat Districts
The first operation was carried out in the Mach area of Kachhi district, where troops acted on actionable intelligence about the presence of armed militants. An intense exchange of fire resulted in the killing of five suspected BLA operatives.
In a subsequent raid in the Margand area of Kalat district, security forces targeted a militant hideout, killing two additional suspected members of the BLA during the firefight.
Weapons and Explosives Recovered
The ISPR statement confirmed that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from both locations. It further alleged that those killed were involved in multiple attacks targeting security personnel and infrastructure, and had links to India-sponsored terrorism.
Continued Commitment to Counterterrorism
“Security forces remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and reaffirm the nation’s resolve to bring the perpetrators and their facilitators to justice,” the ISPR added.
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to counter insurgent violence in Balochistan, where militant groups persistently threaten stability by attacking state institutions.
