ISLAMABAD (PEN) : President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday voiced concerns over the rising threat posed by India’s hardline Hindutva ideology, describing it as a growing challenge to regional stability.
Condemnation of Discrimination Against Minorities in India
During a meeting at the President’s House with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and workers, President Zardari extended Eid ul-Azha greetings to party members and remarked, “Minorities, particularly Muslims and Christians, are facing increasing discrimination and hostility in India.”
Focus on National Unity and Economic Development
The President praised the resilience and dedication of party workers who remained steadfast during difficult periods. He stressed the importance of loyalty to the nation and the land, urging collective efforts to advance Pakistan’s progress. “We must focus on strengthening the economy and achieving self-sufficiency for the country,” he stated.
