ISLAMABAD (PEN) : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket West Indies (CWI) are considering adjustments to the upcoming bilateral series scheduled for July and August 2025. Discussions are underway to potentially replace the three One Day International (ODI) matches with additional Twenty20 International (T20I) fixtures. This move aligns with the growing emphasis on T20 formats, particularly with the Asia Cup (T20 format) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on the horizon.
Proposed Schedule Changes
Currently, the tour itinerary includes:
*T20Is: July 31, August 2, and August 3 at Broward County, Florida.
ODIs: August 8, 10, and 12 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
If the proposed changes are finalized, the ODI matches may be replaced with additional T20I games. A similar adjustment occurred earlier this year during discussions between the PCB and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), where ODIs were replaced with T20Is to focus on the shorter format.
Awaiting Official Confirmation
The PCB is expected to release the finalized schedule in the coming days. Cricket enthusiasts and stakeholders are awaiting official announcements to confirm the revised itinerary.
